Memorial Day Observance - 2022

Memorial Day – the unofficial start of summer. March winds and April Showers are hopefully over and May flowers are in Bloom everywhere. It’s time for barbeques, swimming pools, and warmer weather, but more importantly, Memorial Day is time for remembering those who have passed on whether through an actual combat death or from the rigors of life in general.


Latham Memorial Park - Dedication

Latham Memorial Family Park Dedication May 30, 2022 Starting Time: 12:45PM (North Oak Street/N Hwy 87 – across street from First Christian Church) Ribbon cutting for the Park will be at 1:00PM followed by the unveiling of the Wall, presentation of the Colors by the Color Guard, singing of the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, a Prayer, bagpipe playing of Amazing Grace, the Laying of Wreath and bell ringing, a thank you, Taps, Volley salute and a flyover. The event should end at approximately 2:15PM.


Post 4345 Donates POW/MIA Flag to California City Hall

VFW Post 4345 presented a POW/MIA to Mayor Rich Green (California, MO) to be flown outside of California's City Hall.


Post 4345 Makes Monetary Donation to the Moniteau County Veterans Memorial

VFW Post 4345 donated $15,000 to California Progress, Inc. (CPI) for the new Moniteau County Veterans Memorial.
